About Ming

Hi, I am Ming, nice to meet you!

My name is Kam “Ming” Tse, “謝錦明”.  I usually go by my middle name, Ming “明”. The name “Ming” means bright. 

When I was a teenager, I did not feel my life was that bright because I could not find a purpose of my life.  When I was in college, something unexpected but amazing happened – someone introduced Jesus to me.  I accepted Jesus as my savior not too long after the introduction.  I still remember the moment of the decision. I was praying with my eyes closed. I felt it was very dark even though the sun was shining very bright outside.  I “heard,” a voice said to me, “this is your life, accept Jesus that is your only hope.” 

After I accepted Jesus, truly my life has been completely changed. It is no longer filled with darkness and hopelessness. There is light in my life. Even in difficult situations, I still have an unbreakable hope.  Also, I have found the purpose of life, which is not just mine but everyone’s.  My name truly describes who I am now.

I have been following Jesus for more than 40 years.  After I have believed in Him for about 5 years, He called me to serve Him full time.  I left my hometown, Hong Kong, and I came to the United States. I started to build His church in Sacramento, a place where I knew no one at the time.  Starting from Sacramento, His work continued into San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Oakland, and San Jose (both the ones in California and the ones in Costa Rica). 

One of my favorite things to do is to read, study, and share the Bible.  I am so glad I was invited to share what I have learned here in Raisins & Apples. 

The Bible has changed my life and, I believe, it will change yours, too.
