Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

This was one of the Bible verses that encouraged me on my very first day entering full-time ministry. New challenges come with unknowns and uncertainties. From professional architectural practice to hanging out with different groups of young people varied from age 4 to 18, requires skills, patience, love, and wisdom. which may exceed what I could provide alone. Taking that step of change right in the midst of an unprecedent time such as the pandemic also made it extra challenging. God’s words and comfort always come in a timely manner. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” was what I received from Him on my first day.
As I stand at where I am today and looking back over the years, I am touched and overwhelmed. With indescribable words, I am thankful and amazed by the Lord! The same Jesus that I first came to know and believe, was the same Jesus that always stood by my side. He was the same Jesus that wiped away my tears, bandaged my wounds, healed my pains, carried me through all of the ups and downs in my life. And the same Jesus that compels and strengthens me to move forward, and set my feet on the journey of where I am today.
Life comes with changes and challenges, and that is what makes life fun, sometimes. In this ever changing world, how much comfort we can find in knowing that we have a God that never changes! We can always trust the same Jesus that brought us over to our current path will still be the same in the days to come. He will still guide us along our journey and provide us what is needed to face all of the unknowns and difficulties ahead. He will finish what He started. That includes His work and His will on us, personally. He is the Jesus that is the same yesterday, today, and forever! Because He never changes, His will, His plans, His love, His grace, and His promises will never change. He is solid as rock!
Dear Lord, You are the God that never changes. Help me to trust you and rely on your guidance. Give me the strength to take on new challenges as they come, and simply reply on You, Who will be there with me forever.
