Devotional, Ephesians, New Testament

Final Greetings (Ephesians 6:21-24 Devotional)

21 Tychicus, the dear brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know how I am and what I am doing. 22 I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and that he may encourage you.23 Peace to the brothers and sisters, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
Ephesians 6: 14-20

We are finishing Ephesians today. By now, I hope you have learned how much blessings you received and how we are to live a life worth of the blessings.

I follow a landscape photographer on YouTube. In one of his recent posts, he was filming himself climbing up a very steep hill. While catching his breath, he stopped and said, “I don’t love hiking, I do it because I have to, which is to get to the spot so that I can take a very nice photograph.” he continued ” I do it also because I know one day, I won’t be able to do it and I’d regret why I didn’t when I can.” This really resonated in my heart. What are the things you can do now and you won’t be able to do when you are older? Honoring you parents may be one of those. Love your spouse, minister to people around you. What are the things you can do now and won’t be able to do in heaven? Fighting the spiritual battle, spreading the gospel, building the church….

Dear brothers and sisters, don’t wait till you can’t. Don’t wait till “when people are afraid of heights and of dangers in the streets; when the almond tree blossoms and the grasshopper drags itself along and desire no longer is stirred.” Ecc12:5. Today is when we obey the Lord. Today is when we love our spouse. Today is when we spread the gospel. Today is when build His church. Today is when we peruse unity.

Like Paul, I also pray that you love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.

Prayer:

Our Father in heaven, we thank you for redeeming and choosing us in Christ. We humble before you for your mercy and love. May our lives be a please worship to you. May our energy be spent in your will. May we all stand firm on solid ground and win this battle by your power. Amen
