John 8:34 – Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.
1 John 5:19 – We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.
Romans 7: 23-24 – but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
Hebrews 2:14-15 – Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.
Rev 1:5-6 – …… who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Phil 2:8-11– 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Revelation 12:11 – And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.
Do you see the passion of the Lord? The Creator of all who had the worship of all angels. He saw your needs and mine! He knows that we are oppressed in sin, and what hurts him most is our separation from him! Christ Jesus was determined to become the Son of Man. He came to fight and win for us! He suffered all physical, emotional, and spiritual harm from Satan! But the Lord did not give up loving us! Seeing the joy ahead, he despised the shame and endured the pain of the cross! But God the Father raised him from the dead, exalted him to the highest place, gave him all authority, and made all worship him!
He redeemed us with his own blood! Let us become God’s children, have a relationship with him, communicate with him, understand him, be able to share our thoughts, be his confidant, love what he loves, hate what he hates, and do what he pleases! He makes our lives full of Himself.
So you see how much Christ doesn’t want us to be weak or lukewarm, and if He doesn’t get our hearts, He won’t stop! He is still the same Jesus Christ who loved us and gave himself for us! He not only fights Satan, but he also fights for our attention, our dedication, and our love!
Do you have a passion for Christ? Are you willing to stand up for him and witness him too?
The Lord still calls us to be overcomers, and He wants us to experience His love deeply! Inspired by his love! Follow him through our lives, testify his way, and overcome all the attacks and temptations of the devil! We are His overcomers!
Prayer:
Thank you, Lord, for going out to fight for me! Your love breaks through all the impossible! Let me know that you love me and sacrifice yourself for me! You were crucified outside the city, please let me rise up for you, bravely follow you, and be an overcomer called by you!
Song:
He Came From Heaven To Earth
- God’s beloved Son came from heaven to earth,
His name is Jesus,
Dwelt among men with glory,
Full of grace, full of truth.
From heaven to earth He came to bring me
Back to the Father’s fold. - God’s beloved Son came from heaven to earth,
Was in a manger born.
He bore all sorrows for me.
He walked to the cross for me.
God’s beloved Son came from heaven to earth;
He gave Himself for me. - God’s beloved Son came from heaven to earth,
To fight battles for me.
Destroyed the works of Satan,
He took away all my sins.
From heaven to earth He came to bring me
Out of death into life.
