Oftentimes when we take trips to other places, we would make plans for places to go, and places to stay. We would make sure the places we stay are good in terms of price and quality. Does it have at least a 3-star rating? Is it close to any attractions? Is it conveniently located for access to food? Jesus is making it clear to us that we’ll have a place to stay when we reach heaven. He is preparing that place for us, and it will be a place where our Father also stays! If we, with our limited wisdom, knowledge, and resources, would know how to choose the best place to go and stay for ourselves, how much more can our almighty Lord prepare for us?! We can rest assured that it will be beyond a 5-star accommodation! The best thing about that 5-star accommodation is that there will not be a time for check-out, because it will be our eternal home! Where our loving Lord is, He wants us to be!
Dear Lord, thank you for the eternal home that you’re preparing for us right now! You love me, and you will come back and take me to be with you! Thank you for your promise and the assurance!
