Devotional, John, New Testament

The Good Shepherd (John 10:7-11 Devotional)

7 So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

JOHN 10:7-11

Yesterday we read the story of life conversion from caterpillar to butterfly. Born Again is a significant life change! Today we talk about the sheep. The Lord Jesus said that I am a Good Shepherd who laid down his life for the sheep. Is there anyone willing to lay down His life for you? Do you know that the Lord Jesus once did? He died for you? If He really gave up His life for you, what good things would He withhold from you?

The devil cannot take away our eternal life, but he clouds us from enjoying this abundant life! An abundant life is to recognize the voice of the Good Shepherd, who is no stranger to us! He calls us, and we recognize him, follow him, and go in and out for pasture and life supplies. He is also our door, and in Him, we find peace. Feel His presence in your life and enjoy the intimacy with Him! He is our Good Shepherd! Don’t just live to survive, but live the abundant life in Christ!
