Born Again (John 3:3-6, 14-18 Devotional)

3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit.

John 3:3-6

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.
16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

John 3:14-18

Have you been born again? Have you seen or experienced the kingdom of God?
Even Nicodemus, the teacher whom every Israeli respected, did not understand this question of being born again!

How can a man be born again when he is old?

— I already have my knowledge, wisdom, wealth, status, success, family, children; how can I drop everything and start all over again?

It turns out that the Lord Jesus came to give us eternal life, and we must see what is most important in life! How can we be born again if we only hold on to what is in our hands and won’t let go?

Grace is a free gift from God that He gave us His only begotten Son! God just wants us not to rely on anything of our own, but only to trust and receive the grace and love of God! Just behold Jesus Christ, who was crucified for us! Trust in Him!

After you were born again, have you seen the kingdom of God? Eternal life does not mean eternal existence, but the new life in Christ! The loving relationship with God!
Caterpillar only grasps the ground. There is no way for it to understand the sky. Until one day, the caterpillar emerges from the cocoon and flutters its wings to the sky. Fly among the beautiful flowers.

Congrats on having eternal life! Have you let go of your past and enjoyed God’s love and grace?

Sharing this song with you –

Glorious
Glorious, glorious –
The hour I first believed.
I have been joined to the Lord,
In one Spirit.
Wonderful! wonderful!
Now I am in Christ.
It’s no longer I who live,
But a new man.
The precious Lord lives in me.
Co-heir with Him of all things,
I partake His glory,
Father’s love and the Spirit.
Love that’s true, love that’s true,
What a love it is!
I want You to be my Lord,
Live in love with You eternally.
