13 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
I John 4:13-15
One of the greatest truths declared by John in his epistle is “God is love”. I am eternally grateful that God is not something else, but He is love.
There are several ways we know that God is love and He loves us.
First, through the world He created for us. Look around you, you see the beauty that God has created, I believe the world is beautiful because He created this in love for us.
Second, through the Bible. Love is a common word in the Bible, especially in 1 John.
Third, when God sent His only begotten Son to die for us.
Now John brought another way we can see His love, it is through His abiding in us. It is so amazing that God did not only want to live with us but He wants to live in us and also, He wants us to live in Him.
