7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? 11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

29 And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. 30 For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you. 32 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Luke 12:29-32
Do you see the heart of the Father? He loves giving good gifts to his children! He loves to fill us with joy! He loves to give us his kingdom! He knows everything we need, and more importantly, he loves us. He welcomes his precious children to be close to him and understand his heart. Some Christians may focus their prayer on what they want from God. But to God, those are very minor. His Fatherly love, His acceptance, His presence, and His joy on us are the much better gifts! Enjoy the great gift every time you go to the Father!
When we pray, don’t just see what we want, behold the loving Heavenly Father!
