No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Romans 8:37
God is my Banner!
What flag are you flying going through life. What team are you in? Are you on the winner’s team? If you are in Team-J, you are on the winner’s team!
Yes, the cross was filled with pain and suffering. Yet, because of what Jesus did, the cross became a sign of victory.
At the cross, He defeated sin by offering the perfect sacrifice
At the cross, He defeated death by his death (and resurrection on the 3rd day)
At the cross, He defeated devil who has no power on Him.
Jesus established the victory for all those who believe in Him. Through him we are more than conquerors, life or death, sickness or health, height or depth…
Which team are you in? Let’s join the winning team.
16 He reached down from on high and took hold of me;
he drew me out of deep waters.
17 He rescued me from my powerful enemy,
from my foes, who were too strong for me.
18 They confronted me in the day of my disaster,
but the Lord was my support.
19 He brought me out into a spacious place;
he rescued me because he delighted in me.
Psalm 18:16-19
It’s inevitable that we will find ourselves in deep water, disasters or troubles that are beyond our control. But thank God, He’s hand is never too short to reach down and rescue us from our troubles. I can count on the one who has overcome the sin, death and devil. I can count on the risen Lord who walks with me as a good friend. I can count on the conquer who love me till the end.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for your victory on the cross and your resurrection. Life without You would have been so hard. When I fall down, you will pick me up. When I am dry, you will fill my cup. I can always count on you. Amen
