Psalm 47
For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm.
1 Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. 2 For the Lord Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth.
3 He subdued nations under us, peoples under our feet. 4 He chose our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob, whom he loved. 5 God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.6 Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. 7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise. 8 God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne. 9 The nobles of the nations assemble as the people of the God of Abraham, or the kings of the earth belong to God; he is greatly exalted.

How many things can you name in Psalm 47:1-9 to praise God for? Please spend a minute on each one of them. which one are you most excited about? Feel free to share.
He is the Most High
He is awesome
He gives us victories
He chose inheritance for us
He loves us
He is the king of all the earth
He reigns over the nations and kings
He is greatly exalted
I’m very excited about God being the victorious king! He indeed suffered a great deal but He’s not defeated. He thirsted but He gave living water. He was hung on the cross but He set me free. He died but He rose again. Because God is a Victor, I can be a victor, too. Because Christ lives in me, I can choose to have a victor mentally instead of a victim mentality.
Are you a victim or victor?
A victim will blame others, while a victor will look to himself (of course and look up to God)
A victim wants to hear lies, while a victor wants to get to the truth.
A victim feels like they can’t succeed, while a victor feels like eventually, they will.
A victim focuses on outward pressures, while a victor focuses on inward conviction.
A victim quits easily, while a victor finds ways to keep going.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, we praise you that you are the awesome king! you reign over all nations and please reign in my life. I surrender to you, my king. Amen
