Devotional, John, New Testament

I love you, the Father Himself loves you as loving me (John 15-17 Devotional)

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.

JOHN 15:9

For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.

JOHN 16:27

(Jesus prayed to the Father) I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.

JOHN 17:23

There is a Chinese saying that “love is in the heart and hard to speak out.” The Lord Jesus was about to face crucifixion, and his service on earth would end. Yet, when he was separated from his disciples, he fully expressed the passion in his heart….

I have loved you!

It is not ordinary love. Heavenly Father loves the Lord Jesus the most, and the Lord Jesus also loves us with this deepest love! And he asks us to abide in his love. Love is demanding, and God wants our love. He wants us to be the closest to Him! He is in us and makes us united in love!

The Lord himself said –

The Father himself loves you!

Can you imagine? The almighty God who created all things is to be our Father! And he loves us! And Lord Jesus tells us, again and again, that He loves us! Heavenly Father himself loves us! Heavenly Father should love the Lord Jesus because Jesus is so obedient and perfect! But for me?! Am I loveable? Am I useful? Amazingly, Heavenly Father loves us as he loves the Lord, long before we did any good deeds!

Hallelujah! Let us enjoy the fellowship of love in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!

Sharing this song:

Eternal Dance of Love
My Abba stretches out His hand, Invites me gladly to join
Him and the Lord and the Spirit In Their eternal dance of love
Such love who can fathom, Such joy who can describe,
Enter into God’s circle of love, My bliss and joy overflow.
