18 Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us. 20 But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge. 21 I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. 24 Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise that he made to us—eternal life.
1 John 2:18-25
Now is the last hour, when the Son of God became a man, the Savior Christ Jesus! Christ has come to give us abundant life! The Antichrist has also come, bringing with him the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life! Does Christ or Anti-Christ give us the most satisfying enjoyment? Which one gives us eternal life?
The work of the Antichrist is to confuse us, to lose sight of this true eternal life, and to satisfy our fleeting sinful pleasures on earth. How can one overcome the deception of the Anti-Christ? When we abide in the Lord, we have fellowship with Him, and experience the abundance of life, we then know that this is eternal life! Give up our sinful lust for earthly pleasures!
It is not because the temptations of the world drive us away from God, but because of our lack of fellowship with Christ, we are not attracted to Christ, and we have not tasted eternal life! Then we are attracted to what we have tasted about the fleshly enjoyment.
On the other hand, many Christians often draw close to God, experience the preciousness of the Lord, and know that His love is more precious than life! They are not willing to (and cannot) let go of their love for Christ! They were even persecuted, killed, and lost everything on earth, yet they clanged to Christ! What the Lord has promised us is eternal life!
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

A song to share:
by George Beverly Shea
I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold
I’d rather be His than have riches untold
I’d rather have Jesus than houses or lands
I’d rather be led by His nail pierced hands
Than to be a king of a best domain
And be held in sin’s dread sway
I’d rather have Jesus
Than anything this world affords today
I’d rather have Jesus than worldly applause
I’d rather be faithful to His dear cause
I’d rather have Jesus than worldwide fame
Yes, I’d rather be true to His holy name
Than to be a king of a best domain
And be held in sin’s dread sway
I’d rather have Jesus
Than anything this world affords today
