26 I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you. 27 But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.28 And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.

Lip balm, body lotion, and sun lotion may have been used by us. They each have their own characteristics and uses, but what is the anointing?
Not everyone in Bible times had the opportunity to receive the anointing. The anointing oil was extremely valuable, even a worker’s salary for a year. You may have heard that only prophets, kings, and priests were anointed.
Remember when you came to the stage at the graduation ceremony to receive your diploma? After you have received the certificate, you will no longer doubt whether you are a college grad!
Remember when you got married and the elder or pastor declared you husband and wife? You don’t have to doubt your identity all your life.
After David was anointed, even though he walked through the valley of the shadow of death, he still remembered that God had anointed his head with oil and made his cup overflow!
Remember the day you received the anointing? This anointing is the Holy Spirit! When we believed in the Lord, the Lord gave us the Holy Spirit so that we could experience the peace and joy of being saved, which we will never forget! The Holy Spirit has also become the evidence of our salvation and the assurance of our life! Furthermore, the Holy Spirit guides us to trust God, teaches us to understand the heart of the Father, and helps us to call God Abba Father!
When we encounter temptation, when we are accused by the devil, the Holy Spirit leads us and protects us from temptation! Help us come back to God and live a victorious life!
Mindfulness of the Holy Spirit is life and peace! Have you deliberately paid attention to the voice of the Holy Spirit? If you are not yet familiar with the voice of the Holy Spirit, try quieting down and praying for the Holy Spirit’s help! God’s anointing teaches us about everything, from the Spirit’s teaching, we abide in Him!
