Live Up the Life of Children of God (1 John 3:1-3 Devotional)

1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

We became the children of God after believing in the Lord … Maybe we have all listened many times, and even taught the new believers. But do we live up to the glory and joy of being God’s children? The world does not know the Father, so they do not know the glory of God’s children! Do you know the Heavenly Father? Do you have gratitude and praise because you are the children of God? We are really his children!

I admire Brother Sermon Law’s “The Love Song of Father’s Heart”! Sermon has no children, but he expresses the please and joy of the Father. When my sons were young, I often sang this song for them. When I experienced my love for my children, I felt how much the Heavenly Father loves us! I was even more thankful for being the child of God!

Many Christians have only heard that we are the children of God, but they have not lived in the love and joy of Heavenly Father. The Heavenly Father invites you to share His joy and please on you! He gave His begotten Son for you! He rejoiced when you returned to Him and He is still joyful every time you come into His presence! He loves you as like loving Jesus!

When we live in this love, we are more eager to see the return of the Lord! To see Him as He is! Fully understand Him. No longer use metaphors, no longer explained with the knowledge and experience of humanity, but instead of facing him without obstruction, and fully understand what he is! Living in this desire every day is like a bride adorned for her husband !
