Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10 and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 13 But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, 14 for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

We live in an age of information flooded but distorted! From schoolchildren’s sex education to presidential elections, there are many plausible arguments every day. Should Christians be Conservative Republicans or Liberal Democrats? Should we be Pro-Life or Pro-Choice? These are very sensitive discussions.
Maybe we haven’t thought about different viewpoints carefully, and the world requires us to express our opinions and join them. If you don’t agree with me, I will cut off the tide with you and discredit you! I have been very saddened to see a spiritual brother cursing other people’s entire families because of their different political views! There are Christians who follow the world to support same-sex marriage! There are also Christians who severely scolded homosexuality, used the Bible to condemn people to the death penalty, and rejected people as friends! The devil is sowing discord in this world, polarizing society, and breaking many families! How many brothers and sisters in the church are at odds!?
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God sent his Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.
We need to know that we are children of light! In this evil world, we need to spend even more time & effort reading the Bible! Talk, discuss, and study with mature brothers and sisters, and examine what is pleasing to the Lord, with the heart of Christ as our heart. We may be forsaken by the world, but the word of God is the lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Others may be distant from us. But Christ’s love has never been quenched by people’s rejection. Firmly believe in the Lord’s promise, and Christ will shine on you!
Prayer:
Thank you Heavenly Father for making us your beloved children! Let us understand the truth and experience the love of Christ! Father, let us not follow the world, not attend to the empty words of the world. Help us to read God’s words carefully, pay attention to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and be filled with the love of Christ! Let us be a bright light shining in this world, may people see Christ in us!
